Advice

For students of Computer Skills with Belisle, GO TO CLASS. Seriously, if you miss one class it really puts you behind. The material is much easier to learn with Belisle teaching it. Also, do your homework! I know it seems really tedious and you think if you blow off a few assignments it won't be a big deal, but it can really lower your grade and your understanding of the material. Professor Belisle is available so use her! If you have any questions she is sooo helpful.
Have a good semester

My Favorite Websites

Today in class each student presented their website creations. All of the sites were very intersting but my top three were:
1. Bri's- Bri's navbar was easy and effective. Her backgrounds for each section were not overwhelming and you could read the text easily on her sports page. All of her pictures looked great. The website was personal and intriguing.
2. Jacki's- Jacki's website was neat and organized. I love how she had many hyperlinks incorporated into her website.
3. Teekah's- Teekah's website was expertly organized. Her website was certainly the most put together and professional.

Glenn's was honarable mention.
Great job team.

My Website

Please visit my website at www.cs.trinity.edu/~kduffy1. Making a website proved to be a challenge for me. I used expression web to make my website and I am most proud of my family and friends section solely because I like my pictures. I am proud of doing the hot spot imaging thing on my websites page. My biggest technical challenge was uploading my pictures. For some reason some would work and some would not therefore I had to save all my images again which made for a lot of busy work. My biggest design challenge was probably making the Navbar. It certainly was difficult. I told my mom about my site so I have to show it to her now, but I probably won't show anyone else. I kind of find it weird that I have a website. I probably will make a site in the future, if not for a class then for a job.

I edited this photo on photoshop. I chose a photo that was easily recognized by most viewers and placed it in a setting that was different from the original. I used the magnetic lasso tool to place the image on the altar. I then resized the image. I also did some color editing at the top of the church window to add some color to the black and white picture. I also used the clone stamp tool to erase a web site code at the bottom of the page. Hope you enjoy.
"Our faith in photography has been forever compromised by computer programs like Photoshop that doctor images with a relatively high degree of ease and verisimilitude."
Looks like we have another image that compromises our faith in photography

HTML Code

All web designers should know the basics of HTML code, even with the presence of web authoring software. It is necessary to understand the fundamentals of whatever you are passionate about, and the html codes are the basics of web design.

Powerpoint

Last week people made powerpoint presentations on their areas of interests. Each powerpoint was really interesting but my two favorites were Glenn's and Zia's. Glenn's insightful knowledge into the area of philosophy was interesting and life changing. Zia's heartfelt powerpoint about child services was well researched and the images were startling and poignant. These were two great presentations!

This is simply a dog taking over Graz, Austria as my friends watch in happiness and horror. This extreme scenario could be possible.
